FordHaven's Aims

'Making memories through positive connections'

We are committed to supporting  ALL children & young people in becoming the best versions of themselves.

The core aspect of FordHaven’s ethos is that the most vulnerable children/young people in society especially those in care, deserve the opportunity to remain connected to their families. Maintaining sibling relationships is at the forefront of what we aim to do.

We believe all children and young people have the potential to succeed in all types of relationships when supported correctly. Learning to repair, create and then model healthy and positive relationships with siblings, parents and others is important.

We believe that they can adapt to new circumstances, learn to develop positive relationships and socialise in a socially acceptable way.

We are committed to supporting children & young people in becoming the best versions of themselves.

We set out to achieve positive outcomes through our sessions and we aim to ensure that every young person:

  • Feels safe in the centre
  • Has a voice and feels heard
  • Feels respected and reciprocates this to others
  • Makes positive memories that will last a lifetime
  • Feels happy and comfortable

The welfare of any child/young person visiting FordHaven is given priority. FordHaven strives to ensure that children/young people experience a nurturing, caring environment to help them build positive relationships to benefit them now and in their future.
