There are many reasons children are home educated, for some families this is a clear choice as an alternative to school education. 

For others out of education the families are aiming to integrate children into suitable learning environments. 

FordHaven aims to enable children and young people to socialise and learn through play and art. This can make for an easier transition into their next steps.

All our activities are offered in small group sessions to maximise the benefit of time spent at FordHaven for each child. We've set up these sessions as we are aware of the needs of children in the above circumstances, as well as those who Home Educate. Its important to be able visit a different place and vary their child's experiences. 

Our 3-hour sessions include activities varying from baking, clay modelling, crockery painting to other arts & crafts. As well as the opportunity to play board games, outdoor games, read books and free play with toys should they wish to do so. 

Sessions run on a Tues & Weds 1 - 4pm and Fri 9.30 - 12.30pm. We currently only offer up to 8 places per session - the desire is to keep the quality of the sessions at a high standard. 

The cost is £15 per child per session. Sibling discounts available on request.
